Room to Read presents: Room to Rock
Room to Read presents: Room to Rock, a charity fundraiser for literacy.
Join us Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Momo’s on 618 W. 6th St. for great
music, exciting raffle giveaways, and a silent auction all for a great
cause! The line-up for the night features local bands, The Night, Loose
Leaves, Lost Werks, and Dark Blonde. Tickets are $10 per person at the
door, and raffle tickets are available for $5 each. Doors open at 5:30pm
and music goes on from 6 to midnight! Room to Read is a global
non-profit that seeks to transform the lives of millions of children in
Asia and Africa by focusing on literacy and gender equality in
education. 100% of funds raised at the event will go directly towards
building schools and libraries, publishing books, and girls’
scholarships.
